Julian Michael Edmund Byng, died 27 April, 2011. He was 82. He was of Wrotham Park, Hertfordshire.
He was born Julian Michael Edmund Lafone, 20 October, 1928, son of Michael William Lafone (1900-1966), who married 26 January, 1928, Lady (Florence) Elizabeth Alice Byng (1897-1987), daughter of the 6th Earl of Strafford (1862-1951).
Julian Lafone assumed the surname of Byng in lieu of his patronymic, by deed poll, (enrolled at the College of Arms) 1952.
He married 28 October, 1960, Eve Finola Wellesley-Wesley (born 1930), daughter of Michael St Maur Wellesley Wesley, by his wife Averil Margaret Mary Bibby (1905-1965), by whom he had issue, three sons, Robert, Patrick and Thomas, and a daughter, Georgiana.
