Sibell Dawnay, sometime great-aunt of the Duchess of Cornwall, dies at 102

_.Sibell Margaret Dawnay (nee Norman), of The Glen, Ballingarry, Co Limerick, died at her home, 8 March, 2010, at the age of 102. She was born 2 March, 1908, dau of Ronald Collet Norman (1873-1963), scion of that landed family, by his wife the former Lady Florence Sibell Bridgeman (1877-1936), dau of the 4th Earl of Bradford; & married (i) 25 Sept, 1934 (div 1949), as his 2nd wife, Major the Hon. Archibald Edward Cubitt (1901-72), son of the 2nd Baron Ashcombe (1867-1947); married (ii) 23 June 1949, Lt.-Col. Ronald Dawnay (1908-90), scion of the Viscounts Downe, son of Major the Hon. Hugh Dawnay by his wife the former Lady Susan de la Poer Beresford; from her 1st marriage she had issue, (i) Mark Robin Cubitt (1936-91), (i) Mary Sibell Cubitt (1938-40), & (ii) Priscilla Margaret Cubitt (b 1941), who married the 11th Earl of Harrington, &. Mrs Dawnay's grandson, Mark Cubitt (b 1964) is heir pres to the Ashcombe peerage. __Funeral Service on Saturday, 13 March 2010 at Kilpeacon Church.
