Frances Elspeth Luise Manson, who died 21 February, 2025, aged 90, was descended from the Grant of Monymusk baronets.
She was born 12 October, 1934, daughter of Richard Luis Owen Waddington, and his wife the former Elpseth Grant (1913-1978), daughter of Colonel Sir Arthur Grant of Monymusk, 10th Baronet (1879-1931).
She married 16 May, 1961, William Alastair Leslie Manson (1929-2020), son of James Milne Manson, by whom she had a son, William Giles Manson (b 1965), and two daughters, Lucy Elspeth (born 1962), and Alice Jane (born 1967).
