 The engagement was announced 2 November, 2026, between William Niel C. Mathewson (born May, 1995), son of Mark William Victor Mathewson (born 1959), of Dolphinton, Lanarkshire, and his wife the former Alice Victoria Leveson-Gower (born 5 January, 1966), scion of the Earls Gower, afterwards Dukes of Sutherland, and Dina Nagapetiants, daughter of Mr and Mrs Rafael Nagapetiants, of Davos, Switzerland.

William Mathewson is a grandson of Niel Galbraith Mathewson (1922-2013), of Cullaloe, Burntisland, Fife, and his wife the former (Ann) Carolyn Blundell-Hollinshead-Blundell (1933-2021). 

William's great-uncle, Dermot Hugh Blundell-Hollinshead-Blundell (1935-2009), married in 1967 (div. 1973), Princess Stephanie zu Windisch-Graetz (1939-2019).
