Penelope, Baroness Wrenbury 1933-2025

 Penelope, Baroness Wrenbury, who died 16 July, 2025, aged 91, was the widow of the 3rd Baron Wrenbury (1927-2014).

She was born in 1933 as Penelope Sara Frances Fort, daughter of Edward Dimond Fort, of The White House, Sixpenny Handley, co. Dorset; and married 6 October, 1961, as his second wife, John Burton Buckley, 3rd Baron Wrenbury (who was born 18 June, 1927), who had succeeded to the barony (cr 1915), on the death of his father, the 2nd Baron, 30 May, 1940.

Her husband was admitted a solicitor 1952; Deputy Legal Adviser, The National Trust 1955-56; Partner, Freshfields 1956-74 and Thomson Snell & Passmore 1974-90; ordained Deacon (C of E) 1990; Priest 1991; non-stipendiary incumbent of Brightling, Dallington, Mountfield and Netherfield 1990-2014. He died 27 September, 2014.

Lady Wrenbury leaves issue, a son, William, and two daughters, Elizabeth and Katherine. Her son is the fourth Baron Wrenbury (born 19 June, 1966).
