The engagement was announced 14 July, 2025, between Thomas Michael Cullinan (born 1984), son of Michael Cullinan and his wife the former Janet Ayling, & Venetia Alexandra Jane Mitchell (born 23 June, 1983), daughter of Capt Simon Alexander Francis Mitchell (born 1951), and his wife the former Clarissa Catherine Rosamond Woollcombe Smith (born 20 March, 1952), descended maternally from the Woollcombe landed gentry family, and paternally from the Samuel Smith brewing family, of Tadcaster.
