Penelope Agnes Marion Garnett (nee Frere), died 7 July, 2025, aged 99.
She was born 25 June, 1926, daughter of Philip Beaumont Frere, MC (1897-1981), & his 1st wife the former Jean Winifred Mary Scott-Makdougall (1897-1990); and married 21 Dec, 1946, Thomas Ronald Garnett (1915-2006), Headmaster of Geelong Grammar School in the years when HM The King was a pupil, son of Edward Norman Garnett, of of South Tawton, Okehampton, Devon, by whom she had issue, three sons and one daughter.
