Sir William Goring, 13th Baronet, died at his home 1 January, 2024. He was 90.
He was born 21 June, 1933, son of Major Frederick Yelverton Goring (1893-1938), and his wife the former Freda Margaret Ainsworth (1905-1993); & he succeeded to the baronetcy on the death of his uncle, Sir Forster Gurney Goring, 12th Bt, 1 May, 1956.
Sir William was thrice wed, firstly, 24 September, 1960 (div 1993) the Hon Caroline Elizabeth Thellusson (1941-2010), daughter of the 8th Baron Rendlesham (1915-1999), and his 1st wife the former Margaret Elizabeth Rome; married 2ndly, 25 October, 1993, as her second husband, Mrs Judith Rachel Walton (nee Morris) (1940-1995); and married 3rdly, 1998, as her second husband, Stephanie Carter (born 1948), daughter of George Carter, DFC.
He is succeeded in the baronetcy (cr England, 1678), by his fourth cousin once removed, Richard Harry Goring (born 10 September, 1949).
