Michael Noel Russell, who died 7 August, 2025, aged 84, was a scion of the Barons Ampthill.
He was born 26 July, 1941, son of Major Alaric Charles William Russell (1912-1986), and his wife the former Iris Charmian van Raalte (1916-2002), descended from the Graham baronets. He was unmarried.
Michael Russell descended paternally from the Dukes of Bedford and maternally from the Dukes of Somerset.
