Major Andrew Patrick Forbes Napier, DL, late Coldstream Guards, died 8 June, 2025, aged 92.
He was born 12 July, 1932, the second son of Ian Patrick Robert Napier, MC (1895-1977), and his wife the former Hon Frieda Lewis (1897-1979), daughter of the 1st Baron Essendon (1870-1944); and married 29 March, 1967, Katharine Anne Gooch (1932-2004), scion of the Gooch baronets, daughter of Colonel Sir Robert Eric Sherlock Gooch, 11th Baronet (1903-1978), and his wife the former (Katharine) Clervaux Chaytor (1900-74), by whom he had issue, a son, James Frederick Brian (born 5 July, 1978), and a daughter, Katharine Louisa (born 12 Oct, 1969).
