The engagement was announced 17 June, 2025, between Nicholas Adam Buchan (born 10 February, 1992), scion of the Barons Tweedsmuir, son of the Hon James Ernest Buchan (born 11 June, 1954), of Norfolk, and his late wife the former Lady Evelyn Rose Phipps (1955-2018), scion of the Marquesses of Normanby, & Emma Charlotte Zacharia (born 9 December, 1990), daughter of Mahfouz Zacharia, of London, and his wife the former and Belinda Hillman-Eady.
Nicholas Buchan is a grandson paternally of the 3rd Baron Tweedsmuir (1916-2008), and a grandson maternally of the 4th Marquis of Normanby, KG, CBE (1912-1994).
