The Hon Venetia Daphne Forbes died 17 June, 2025. She was 91.
She was born Venetia Daphne Weeks, 29 August, 1933, the second daughter of Lieutenant-General the 1st and last Baron Weeks, KCB, CBE, DSO, MC (1890-1960), and his wife the former Cynthia Mary Irvine (1896-1985); and married 1stly, 10 April, 1954, Peter Troubridge (born 6 June, 1927), son of Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Hope Troubridge, KCB, DSO (1895-1949), and his wife the former Lily Emily Kleinwort (1900-1983), scion of the Kleinwort baronets. Her husband succeeded to the baronetcy (cr 1799), 16 December, 1963, and died in 1988. She married 2ndly, 18 April, 1995, Capt William Frederick Eustace (Derick) Forbes, 7th of Callendar (1932-2025), head of that Scottish landed family, son of Lt-Col William Dudley Henry Charles Forbes 6th of Callender (1902-1977), and his wife the former Elizabeth Vesey, scion of the Viscounts De Vesci.
The Hon Venetia Forbes leaves issue from her first marriage, a son, Sir Thomas Troubridge, 7th Baronet (born 23 January, 1955), and two daughters, Amanda (born 26 May, 1957), and Camilla (born 14 Sept, 1961).
