_. The Hon Susan Mary Mole (nee Hinton), who died 27 Jan, 2014, was a daughter of the life peer the B aron Hinton of Bankside (extinct 1983).

She was born in 1932 and married in 1957, Arthur Charles Mole, son of Sir Charles Mole, KBE, MVO, by whom she had issue, 2 sons, Christopher and Richard.

The infant descends from Lord Ernest Vane-Tempest, fourth son of the 3rd Marquess of Londonderry.

(George) Christopher Rittson-Thomas (c1926-2014)

_. (George) Christopher Rittson-Thomas, of Manor House, Sandford St Martin, Oxfordshire, died 21 January, 2014, aged 87. Mr Rittson-Thomas married 24 Nov, 1951, Silvia Catriona Fleming (b 1930, d), scion of the Flemings of Nettlebed, a landed family, descended from King William IV & Mrs Jordan, daughter of Maj Philip Fleming (1889-1971), by his wife the former Joan Cecil Hunloke (1901-91). 

Mr Rittson-Thomas was father of three sons, Michael, Hugo and Rupert, and was grandfather of Kate, Hugo, Walter and Theodore.

The funeral takes place at Banbury Crematorium, Oxfordshire, 5 Mar.

Linda, Countess of Lincoln (died 2014)

 Linda, Countess of Lincoln, widow of the 18th Earl, died at Armadale, Australia, 22 January, 2014, aged 97.

She was the former Linda Alice Creed, daughter of the Rev Charles Creed, and married firstly, James O'Brien, of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, by whom she had issue, a son, Graeme and a daughter, Maureen; she married 2ndly, 4 December, 1953, the then Edward (Ted) Fiennes-Clinton (born 23 February, 1913), son of Edward Henry Fiennes-Clinton (b 1886, killed in action in World War 1) and his wife the former Alice Gertrude Waring (died 1917), daughter of Dr William Waring. Her husband succeeded his distant cousin, the 10th Duke of Newcastle, in the Earldom of Lincoln (created by Queen Elizabeth I in 1572), 25 December, 1988, and died 7 July, 2001.

The Earldom of Lincoln is now held by her late husband's grandson, Robert Fiennes-Clinton.

 He was born in London, 1 January, 1938, a son of the Rev. Cyril Parkinson Shaw (b circa 1879), and married 1stly (later div), Liza Dietz, daughter of Howard Dietz (1896-1983), by his wife the former Tanis Eva Guinness (b 27 Dec, 1908, d), scion of the merchant banking arm of the brewing dynasty; married 2ndly, Gisele _____;  married 3rdly, 17 Dec, 1996, as her fourth husband, the Lady Mary-Gaye Georgiana Lorna Curzon (b 21 Feb, 1947), third daughter of the 6th Earl Howe, CBE (1908-84) (Peerage of the UK, cr 1821). They divorced in 2000.

 Mr Shaw leaves issue from his 1st marriage, a daughter, Tanis Murray Shaw (b 1966), and a son, Benjamin Shaw (b circa 1969), and a daughter, Catherine, from his 2nd marriage.

He was born 12 Sept, 1934, and educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge, son of Augustine Courtauld (1904-59), by his wife the former Mollie Montgomerie (later Baroness Butler of Saffron Walden), descended from the Montgomerie landed family and the barons Napier & Ettrick, &c. Christopher Courtauld was founder of the Oak Trust charity (1963). He was for 22 years vicar of the country's richest parish, St Paul's, Knightsbridge. He married 27 June, 1978, Dr Elizabeth Ann Molland, by whom he had issue, 2 daughters, Catharine and Sarah. The funeral is at St Catherine's Church, Gosfield, Essex, on 24 Jan, followed by a memorial service at a later date at St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge. -=-

Baroness Ebbisham 1920-2014

_.The Baroness Ebbisham, who died 4 January, 2014, aged 93, was the widow of the 2nd Baron Ebbisham, who died in 1991, and was a scion of the Earls of Clanwilliam (Peerage of Ire, cr 1776). She was the former Flavia Mary Meade, born 20 Nov, 1920, third daughter of Charles Francis Meade (1881-1975), by his wife the former Lady Aileen Hilda Brodrick (who d 1970), daughter of the 1st Earl of Midleton (ext). She married 26 Oct, 1949, the then Hon Rowland Robert Blades, who succeeded to the barony of Ebbisham (B, UK, cr 1928) on his father's demise in 1953. The Ebbishams had three daughters, Susan, Emma and Catherine, and the peerage became extinct on her husband's death in 1991. The Service of Thanksgiving takes place at the Church of St Michael and All Angels, Mere, Wiltshire, Friday 17 Jan. -=-

She was the former Fiona Victoria Jean McGowan, born 18 Nov, 1947, scion of the Barons McGowan (Peerage of the UK, cr 1937), dau of William Johnston McGowan (1909-77), a son of the 1st peer, by his wife the former Helen Myrtle Dorothy Atherley, and married Charles Allsopp in 1968. Lady Hindlip is survived by her husband, a son, Henry, and three daughters, Kirstie, Sophia and Natasha. The eldest daughter is the broadcaster Kirstie Allsopp. -=-

The Rt Hon Robert Thomas Boscawen MC, of Ivythorm Manor, Street, co. Somerset, who died on the Isle of Wight, 28 Dec, 2013, aged 90, was a former Conservative politician and scion of the Viscounts Falmouth (Peerage GB, 1720), born 17 Mar, 1923, fourth son of the 8th Viscount Falmouth (1887-1962), by his wife the former Mary Meynell, descended from the Viscounts, later Earls of Halifax. He served in World War II as Capt Coldstream Guards, Member of Parliament (Conservative) for Wells 1970-83 and for Somerton and Frome 1983-92, Assistant Government Whip 1979-81, Lord Commissioner of the Treasury 1981-83, Vice-Chamberlain of the Household 1983-86, Comptroller of the Household 1986-88, Privy Counsellor 1992. Boscawen married 19 Nov 1949 Mary Alice Codrington JP (b. 1924, d), 1st dau. of Col Sir Geoffrey Ronald Codrington KCVO CB CMG DSO OBE, by his wife Cecilia Mary Wythes, yst. dau. of Ernest James Wythes CBE DL JP, of Copped Hall and The Wood House, co. _. Capt. (William George) Antony (Tony) Warde-Norbury, late Coldstream Guards, who died 1 January, 2014, aged 77, was a scion of the Warde-Aldam landed family of Hooton Pagnell, Healey & Frickley. He was born 13 March, 1936, son of Maj Harold George Norbury, later Warde-Norbury (1899-1974), of Hooton Pagnell Hall, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, by his wife the former Mary Betty Warde-Aldam (b 27 Mar, 1909 - d 1978). Mary Betty Norbury received the Hooton Pagnell estate as a gift from her father, Col William St Andrew Warde-Aldam, in 1952, and she and her husband assumed the surname of Warde-Norbury by Royal Licence in 1958. Capt Tony Warde-Norbury married 15 Apr, 1961, Philippa Margery Davies-Cooke (scion of the Cooke Baronets), dau of Col Philip Ralph Davies-Cooke, of Owston Hall, Yorks, by whom he had issue. His son, William Mark Antony, born 29 Jul, 1962, succeeded to the Hooton Pagnell estate some years ago.
