Rev. Christopher Courtauld 1934-2014
_. The Rev (Augustine) Christopher (Caradoc) Courtauld, who died 11 January, 2014, aged 79, was head of the Courtauld landed family, formerly of Gosfield.
He was born 12 Sept, 1934, and educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge, son of Augustine Courtauld (1904-59), by his wife the former Mollie Montgomerie (later Baroness Butler of Saffron Walden), descended from the Montgomerie landed family and the barons Napier & Ettrick, &c.
Christopher Courtauld was founder of the Oak Trust charity (1963). He was for 22 years vicar of the country's richest parish, St Paul's, Knightsbridge.
He married 27 June, 1978, Dr Elizabeth Ann Molland, by whom he had issue, 2 daughters, Catharine and Sarah. The funeral is at St Catherine's Church, Gosfield, Essex, on 24 Jan, followed by a memorial service at a later date at St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge.
