Gilbey/Hadsley-Chaplin marriage

__.The marriage took place in London, 14 January, 2014, followed by a blessing at St Mary's, Ascot, between James Newman Gilbey (born 4 Oct, 1956), scion of th Gilbey Baronets (Bt, UK, cr 1893), third son of Ralph Newman Gilbey, by his wife the former Barbara Scott, and Mrs Lavinia Brodie Hadsley-Chaplin (born 9 May, 1962, nee Henderson, scion of the Barons Faringdon), former wife of Mark R. Hadsley-Chaplin, and daughter of Ian Brodie Henderson (born 25 Oct, 1930).

 The Duke of Norfolk was best man. James Gilbey was the close friend of Diana, Princess of Wales, central figure in the Squidgygate Affair, re the pre-1990 telephone conversations between the princess and Mr Gilbey. During the calls Mr Gilbey refered to Diana as "Squidgy" or "Squidge" 

Lavinia is descended from a brother of the 1st Baron Faringdon:-
