Linda, Countess of Lincoln (died 2014)

 Linda, Countess of Lincoln, widow of the 18th Earl, died at Armadale, Australia, 22 January, 2014, aged 97.

She was the former Linda Alice Creed, daughter of the Rev Charles Creed, and married firstly, James O'Brien, of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, by whom she had issue, a son, Graeme and a daughter, Maureen; she married 2ndly, 4 December, 1953, the then Edward (Ted) Fiennes-Clinton (born 23 February, 1913), son of Edward Henry Fiennes-Clinton (b 1886, killed in action in World War 1) and his wife the former Alice Gertrude Waring (died 1917), daughter of Dr William Waring. Her husband succeeded his distant cousin, the 10th Duke of Newcastle, in the Earldom of Lincoln (created by Queen Elizabeth I in 1572), 25 December, 1988, and died 7 July, 2001.

The Earldom of Lincoln is now held by her late husband's grandson, Robert Fiennes-Clinton.
