Lady Margaret Helen Isla Marion Tennant 1920-2014
_. The Lady Margaret Tennant, who died 22 January, 2014, aged 93, was a scion of the Earls of Airlie (Peerage of Scotland, cr 1639). She was the former Lady Margaret Helen Isla Marion Ogilvy, born 23 July, 1920, second daughter of David Lyulph Gore Wolesley Ogilvy, 7th Earl of Airlie, KT, GCVO, MC (1893-1968), by his wife the former Lady Alexandra Marie Bridget Coke (d 1984), daughter of the 3rd Earl of Leicester; he siblings included the 8th Earl of Airlie, KT, GCVO, PC (b 1926), sometime Lord Chamberlain to the Queen, and the Hon Sir Angus Ogilvy (1928-2004), husband of HRH Princess Alexandra of Kent, the Queen's cousin.
She married 11 July, 1946, Capt Sir Iain Mark Tennant, KT (1919-2006), of Lochnabo House, Elgin, co Moray, scion of the Barons Glenconner, chairman of Grampian Television for over 20 years, by whom she had issue, Mark, Christopher (deceased), and Emma.
The funeral is at St Columba's Church, Elgin, Monday, 3 Feb, 2014.
