_.Sir (William) Marcus John Worsley, 5th Baronet, died at his home Hovingham Hall, North Yorkshire, 18 Dec, 2012, aged 87. Sir Marcus served as Conservative MP for Keighley, 1959-64, and for Chelsea, 1966-74, was PPS to the Minister of Health 1960-61, to the Minister without Portfolio, 1962-64, and to the Lord President of the Council, 1970-72.
Sir Marcus, whose baronetcy of the UK was cr in 1838, served as Lord Lieutenant for North Yorkshire, 1987-99, and was High Sheriff of North Yorks in 1982.
He was born 6 Apr, 1925, eldest son of Sir William Arthington Worsley, 4th Baronet (1890-1973), by his wife the former Joyce Morgan Brunner, dau of Sir John Brunner, 2nd Barronet (cr UK, 1895), and was a brother of Katharine Worsley, who married at York Minister in 1961, HRH The Duke of Kent, a first cousin of HM The Queen.
Worsley succeeded to the baronetcy on his father's demise in Dec, 1973, and he ran the Hovingham estate until handing it over to his son in 1987. Baby for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

She was the former Sonia Furlong and married in 1952. Her husband, born Neil Kennedy-Cochran-Patrick, scion of that Scottish landed family, succeeded as head of the family on the death of his aunt, Eleanora, the 28th of Hunterston (nee Kennedy-Cochran-Patrick), who died in 1984.
Sonia's husband assumed the surname of Hunter of Hunterston and was recognised in the surname and arms of Hunter of Hunterston by Lord Lyon King of Arms in 1969.

George Francis Lane Fox (1931-2012)
_. Maj. George Francis Lane Fox, head of the landed family, of Bramham Park, Boston Spa, West Yorkshire, died at his home, 9 October, 2012. He was 81.
He was born 15 May, 1931, eldest son of Lt-Col Francis Gordon Ward-Jackson (1899-1989), by his wife, the Hon Marcia Agnes Mary Lane Fox (1904-80), eldest of the four daughters of the 1st (and last) Baron Bingley, who had no sons. In 1937, Lt-Col Ward Jackson assumed the surname of Lane Fox in lieu of Jackson.
George Lane Fox was educated at Eton & RMC; career:- landowner, served as Major in the Royal Horse Guards, &c.
He married 10 Aug 1962, (Helen) Victoria, only daughter of Maj Charles Edward Rodney Duff, 8th Royal Irish Hussars, by whom he had issue, three sons, George, James and Edward. Mrs Lane Fox died 30 Nov, 1997.
He succeeded as head of the Lane Fox family by his eldest son, Capt George Charles Nicholas Lane Fox, who was born 25 Dec, 1963.

She was born Princess Ragnhild Alexandra of Norway, at Oslo, 9 June 1930, the first child of the then Crown Prince Olav and his wife Princess Martha of Sweden. The Princess was a great-grandaughter of Britain's King Edward VII, and a great-great granddaughter of Queen Victoria.
She married 15 May, 1953, Erling Sven Lorentzen (b Oslo, 28 Jan, 1923), and had three children. She is survived by her husband.
The Norwegian royal family attended the princess's funeral in the chapel of the Royal Palace, Oslo, 28 Sept, 2012.

'John Oaksey', jockey, journalist, broadcaster and author was founded of the Injured Jockeys Fund.
He was born 21 March, 1929, son of Geoffrey Lawrence, judge, Lord of Appeal in Ordinary, who was created the 1st Baron Oaksey in 1947 and who succeeded as 3rd Baron Trevethin on the death of his elder brother in 1959. John succeeded to both baronies on his father's demise, 28 Aug, 1971.
He was twice married, firstly in 1959 (divorced 1987), Victoria Mary Dennistoun; and secondly, in 1988, to Mrs Rachel Crocker (nee Hunter).
The peerages now devolve upon his son from his first marriage, the Hon Patrick John Tristram Lawrence, who was b 29 June, 1960.

Lucy J. Berridge (née Cary-Elwes), wife of Ross A. Berridge, and scion of the LG family of Elwes, of Roxby, gave birth to a daughter, Emilia Anna Margaret, 21 August, 2012, a sister for Alexander & Cassia.
Ross is a son of Dr and Mrs Neil Berridge, of Melrose, the Borders, and Lucy is a daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Cary-Elwes, of Dulwich, London.
