Sir Andrew Colin Hugh Smith (1931-2012)

_.Sir Andrew Colin Hugh Smith, chairman of the London Stock Exchange, 1988-94, died 3 October, 2012. He was 81. He was born 6 Sept 1931, son of Lt-Cdr Colin Hugh Smith by his wife the former Elizabeth Dulcie Hotham, scion of the Barons Hotham; married 1964, Venetia, dau of Lt-Col Peter Flower, by whom he had issue, 2 sons. His yr brother, Col Henry Owen Hugh Smith, was CO The Blues & Royals and served as equerry to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.
