_Sir Christopher Collett, GBE, who died 2 December, 2012, aged 81, was Lord Mayor of the City of London, 1988-89 (GBE, 1988), and a scion of the Collett Baronets (Bt, UK, cr 1934).
Sir Christopher was born 10 June, 1931, second son of Sir Charles Collett, who served as Lord Mayor of London, 1933-34, and was created a baronet at the end of his term of office, by his wife the former Ruth Mildred Hatch.
He married in 1959, Christine Anne Griffiths, by whom he had issue.
