A memorial service is to take place next week for Lady Prior-Palmer, who died in June, aged 90.
She was the third wife and widow of Brigadier Sir Otho Prior-Palmer, DSO (1897-1986), scion of that landed gentry family, who was a Conservative MP representing Worthing in Sussex from 1945 to 1964.
She was Elizabeth Mary Adams Henderson, born 20 April, 1934, daughter of Harold Henderson, and married Sir Otho in 1964. He was knighted for political service in 1959, and died in 1986.
