The engagement was announced 13 February, 2025, between Ferdinand William Hugo Simon (born 1990), younger son of the Hon Sir Peregrine Charles Hugo Simon, PC (born 20 June, 1950), a former Lord Justice of Appeal, of Glaisdale, North Yorkshire, and his wife the former Francesa Foerescue Hitchens (born 1 July, 1953), & Dr Annabelle S. Wittels, daughter of Prim Dr Peter Wittels-Prilesky de Prilesz and Ms Nadja Uran, both of Vienna.
Ferdinand Simon is a grandson of the late life peer the Baron Simon of Glaisdale, PC, DL (1911-2006).
