The engagement was announced 22 February, 2025, between William Rhys James, only son of Mrs Gillian James and the late Mr Geoffrey James, of Woodford Green, London, & Matilda Claire Harden (born 1984), only daughter of David James Harden (born 29 July, 1954), of Nanhoron, Gwynedd, and his wife the former Bettina Clare Lascelles Tayleur.
Matilda Harden is descended from the Barons Rayleigh:-
