The Hon James Robert Napier, who died 3 January, 2025, aged 58, was the only son and heir of the 6th Baron Napier of Magdala.
He was born 29 January, 1966, son of then Hon Robert Alan Napier (born 6 September, 1940), and his wife the former Frances Clare Skinner. His father succeeded to the Barony of Napier of Magdala (cr UK, 1868) on the death of his father, the 5th Baron, 29 Oct, 1987.
The Hon James Napier married 1992, Jacqueline Stephen, daughter of A. Stephen, of Inverkeithing, Co Fife.
