Anne, Baroness Dunboyne (née Mallet), who died 31 December, 2024, aged 95, was the widow of the 28th Baron Dunboyne.
She was born Anne Marie Mallet, in 1929, the only daughter of Sir Victor Alexander Louis Mallet, GCMG, CVO (1893-1969), of Wittersham House Kent, by his wife the former Christiana Jean Andreae (1905-1984). Her father, a godson of Queen Victoria, was a diplomat, and ambassador to Stockholm and Madrid, and Counsellor at Washington acting as Chargé d'Affaires at Washington.
She married 29 July, 1950, Patrick Theobald Tower Butler, 28th Baron Dunboyne (born 27 January, 1917), son of the 27th Baron (1874-1945), and his wife the former Isolde Tower (died 26 May, 1977).
Her husband, an officer in the Irish Guards, barrister circuit judge and author, died 19 May, 2004, aged 87.
Lady Dunboyne had issue, John, 29th Baron Dunboyne (1951-2013), and three daughters, Mary, Betty and Victoria. She was the grandmother of Richard, 30th Baron Dunboyne (born 5 July, 1983).
