Jacqueline, Baroness Kenilworth, widow of the 3rd Baron, died 4 July, 2023. She was 97.
The former Jacqueline Paulette Gelpi, daughter of Robert Gelpi, was born in May, 1926, and married 28 August, 1948, the then John Randle Siddeley (born 24 January, 1924), son of the Hon Cyril Davenport Siddeley, CBE (1894-1971), by his wife the former Marjorie Tennant Firth (who died 16 June, 1977). Her husband's father succeeded, 3 Nov, 1953, as 2nd Baron Kenilworth (Peerage of the UK, cr 1937), and died 11 Aug, 1971.
The Siddeley family were pioneers of the motor industry in the United Kingdom, manufacturing aero engines and airframes as well as motor vehicles.
Her husband, the third Baron, died in 1981. Lady Kenilworth leaves issue, John, the 4th Baron (born 16 June, 1954).
