Charles Alan Fremantle, who died 21 January, 2022, aged 86, was a scion of the Barons Cottesloe.
He was born 20 February, 1935, a son of Commander Edmund Seymour Denis Fremantle, DSC [1904-80], and his first wife the former Dorothy Clare Haldane Sinclair [died 1980]; and married 30 July, 1960, Caroline Mary Morant, daughter of Commander Sydney Andrew Boyd Morant, OBE, DFC, by whom he had issue, two sons, Timothy and James, and a daughter, Naomi.
