The Hon Susan Blount [nee Cobbold], who died 14 December, 2021, aged 88, was a scion of the Barons Cobbold.
She was born Susan Victoria Cobbold, 24 May, 1933, scion of that landed family, younger daughter of the then Cameron Fromanteel Cobbold [later the 1st Baron Cobbold, KG] [1904-87], Lord Chamberlain, 1963-71, by his wife the former Lady Margaret Hermione Millicent Bulwer-Lytton [1904-2004], daughter of the 2nd Earl of Lytton, KG, GCSI, GCIE [1876-1947], sometime Gov of Bengal and Temp. Viceroy of India, &c.
She married 12 Nov, 1957, Christopher Charles Blount [born circa 1925], son of Air Vice Marshal Charles Hubert Boulby Blount, CB, OBE, MC [1893-1940], and his wife the former Beatrice Joan Lempriere [1892-1985], by whom she had two sons, James and Oliver, and two daughters, Catherine and Pamela.
