The engagement has been announced between Mr John Gerard Nicolai d'Abo [born 1968], scion of that landed gentry family, of West Wratting Park, son of the late Robin Gerard d'Abo [1939-2020], and his first wife the former [Anne] Clare Davie, and the Lady Chloë Patricia Ponsonby [born 1975], daughter of the 12th Earl of Bessborough [born 16 February, 1941], of Stansted Park, Hampshire, and the Countess of Bessborough [nee Alison Marjorie Storey]
