Elisabeth Joan Sparrow [nee Wilbraham], who died 23 October, 2021, aged 93, was a scion of the Wilbraham family, formerly of Delamere; born 12 August, 1928, the only daughter of Major Edward Jack Wilbraham, MC, sometime ADC to HRH Prince Arthur of Connaught, by his wife the former Evelyn Martin; and married 24 September, 1949, Lieutenant-Colonel Geoffrey Ernald Sparrow, MC, TD, The Rifle Brigade, of Birtles Old Hall, near Macclesfield, Cheshire, son of Lt-Col. W.G.K. Sparrow, of Birtles Old Hall, by whom she had issue, three sons, Geoffrey Randle John [b 14 Aug, 1951], Justin Maurice Andrew [b 12 June, 1953], and Piers Christopher Martin [b 15 March, 1958].
