The former Juliet Palmer, she was born 21 Aug, 1965, daughter of Andrew Eustace Palmer [born 30 Sept, 1937], of the family of the Barons Palmer, and his wife the former Davina Cecil Barclay, scion of that landed gentry family.
She married 19 Dec, 1991, Hugh Sebastian Frederick Cairns, styled Viscount Garmoyle [born 26 March, 1965], son and heir of the 6th Earl Cairns [born 27 May, 1939], and his wife the former Amanda Mary Heathcoat-Amory [born 4 Dec, 1944], scion of the baronets of that name, by whom she had issue, a son, Oliver [born 7 March, 1993], and two daughters, Tara [born 3 Apr, 1995], and Harriet [born 3 March, 1998].
