The Lady Margaret Nicola Glasse 1937-2021

_. The Lady Margaret Glasse, who died 26 February, 2021, aged 83, was a scion of the Earls of Caithness.

The former Lady Margaret Nicola Sinclair, she was born 11 September, 1937, the second daughter of the 19th Earl of Caithness [1906-65], of Baile-na-Coille, Balmoral, Ballater, Aberdeenshire, and his first wife the former Grizel Margaret Miller-Cunningham [1909-43], scion of that Scots landed gentry family.

She married firstly, 29 Aug, 1959, Capt David Colin Kirkwood Brown, of the Gordon Highlanders, son of Group Capt Hugh Mitchell Kirkwood Brown, by whom she had issue. She married 2ndly, in 1983, John James Maxwell Glasse [who died 15 Nov, 2015], son of J.M. Glasse, of Corsham, Wiltshire.

Lady Margaret's half-brother is the former Conservative government minister, the 20th Earl of Caithness [born 3 Nov, 1948].

She is survived by her two children, Nicola Jane [born 15 Aug, 1960], and Olivia [born 15 Oct, 1962].
