_. Martin Charles Findlay, who died 28 November, 2020, aged 85, was a maternal grandson of the 7th Earl of Dartmouth, GCVO.
He was born in 1935, a scion of the Findlay landed gentry family, son of Commander Noel Charles Mansfeldt Findlay, RN [1899-1976], and his wife the Lady Mary Cecilia Legge [1906-2003], daughter of the 7th Earl of Dartmouth, GCVO [1881-1958], sometime Lord Great Chamberlain.
He married in 1966, Davina Margaret Dundas [born 8 Dec, 1939], scion of the Dundas of Arniston baronets, daughter of Maj. Sir Thomas Calderwood Dundas of Arniston, 7th Baronet [1906-70], and his wife the former Isabel Goring [1909-97], scion of the Goring baronets, by whom he had issue, two sons, Mark Simon [born 1967], and Adam James [born 1969].
