Moore/Camp engagement

_. The engagement was announced 31 October, 2020, between the Hon Garrett Alexander Moore [born 1986], scion of the Earls of Drogheda, second son of the 12th Earl of Drogheda [born 14 Jan, 1937], by his wife the former Alexandra Nicolette Henderson [born 1953], & Colleen C. Camp, daughter of Mr & Mrs Wilson Camp, of San Francisco, United States.

Garrett Moore is a grandson maternally of the late Sir Nicholas Henderson, GCMG, KCVO [1919-2009], British Ambassador to Washington 1979-1982.

# The Times announcement of the engagement stated that the forthcoming bridegroom is 'The Baron G.A. Moore of Mellifront'. The Barony of Moore of Mellifront, created in 1616 [Peerage of Ireland] is held by his father. It would be a break with convention for a younger son of a peer to be styled in one of his father's peerages. Such courtesy titles are reserved for the heir. The Earl of Drogheda's elder son, Benjamin, is styled Viscount Moore. The earl's younger son is styled 'the Hon Garrett Moore' in all peerage works of reference.

# The American actress Colleen Camp [born 7 June, 1953], a character actress and producer, is the daughter of one Mr Wilson Camp. Could Garrett Moore be marrying a lady born the same year as his own mother?

After appearing in several bit parts, Miss Camp had a lead role in the comedy The Swinging Cheerleaders (1974), followed by roles in two installments of the Police Academy series. Camp appeared in supporting parts in Death Game (1977), Apocalypse Now (1979), and The Seduction (1982), after which she played Yvette the Maid in the 1985 comedy Clue. Camp has continued to have minor and supporting roles in various independent and studio films, including Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), Election (1999), Factory Girl (2006), Palo Alto (2013), and American Hustle (2013).
