_. Philip Ayrton-Grime, CVO, MRCVS, died 12 June, 2020, aged 93. He was for many years the vet to HM The Queen when at Windsor, looking after her horses and corgis, &c. He was appointed CVO in 1979.
Mr Ayrton-Grime, an Ascot veterinary surgeon, was born 20 Nov, 1926.
He married in 1958, Anne Dadley, by whom he had a son and three daughters.
His daughter, Deborah married 26 Oct, 2002, as his second wife, the Hon [Anthony] Michael Geoffrey Howard [b 18 May, 1958], scion of the Earls of Carlisle, fourth son of the Baron Howard of Henderskelfe [1920-1984], of Castle Howard, Malton, by his wife the former Lady Cecilia Blanche Genevieve FitzRoy [1922-1974], scion of the Dukes of Grafton.
