_. Hugh William Marriott died 22 August, 2018. He was born in 1942, a son of Lieutenant-Colonel Ian Arthur Marriott (1911-85) by his wife the former Cynthia Cadman (1919-2005), daughter of James Cadman (1878-1947), and niece of the 1st Baron Cadman; he married 1966, Catherine Julia Marshall (born 1946), daughter of Robert Mackenzie Marshall (1906-81) by his wife the former Betty Rowlands (1907-91), by whom he had 3 daughters, Tamsin, Sarah-Jane, and Sophie.
A private cremation will be followed by a celebration of his life in the New Forest, 6 October, 2018.
