Hon Lady Sachs

The Hon. Lady Sachs, who died at her home, 15th December, 2005, aged 96, was the widow of a Lord Justice of Appeal, and a daughter of the Baron Goddard, PC, GCB (1877-1971), Lord Chief Justice of England, 1946-58.
She was the Hon. Janet Margaret Goddard, born 26 Oct, 1909, second daughter of Lord Goddard, by his wife Violet Ethel Beatrice Lovesy; she married 12 May, 1934, the Rt. Hon. (Lord Justice) Sir Eric Sachs, MBE, TD (b. 1898; d. Sept, 1979), a Lord Justice of Appeal, 1966-73.
She leaves a son, Richard Edwin Goddard Sachs (b. 1935), and is predeceased by a daughter, Katharine Frances Goddard Sachs, wife of George Pulay.
A Service to celebrate her life will be held at St Anne's Church, Lewes, 11 January, 2006.
