Lady Charlotte Mabel Ellesmere Egerton (born 2015)

_.The Marchioness of Stafford (nee Barbara R. Schneider), wife of James Granville Egerton, styled Marquis of Stafford (b. 1975), gave birth to a fourth daughter, Lady Charlotte Mabel Ellesmere Egerton, 26 March, 2015, a sister for Lady Isabelle, who was b 10 Dec, 2007, and for Lady Louisa, who was b 7 Jan 2010, and for Lady Violet, who was b 11 Nov, 2011.

The Marquis of Stafford is the elder son of the 7th Duke of Sutherland (b. 18 Feb, 1940), by his wife the former Victoria Mary Williams (descended from the Barons Addington), and the Marchioness of Stafford is a daughter of Dr Graham and Dr Ilse Schneider, of Vienna, Austria.

Death of the hereditary Standard Bearer for England (the Queen's Champion)

_.Lt-Colonel John Lindley Marmion Dymoke, MBE, DL, who died 21 March, 2015, aged 88, was head of that landed family of Scrivelsby, Lincolnshire, and was the Honourable the Queen's Champion and Standard Bearer of England in which capacity he attended the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, 2 June, 1953.

Sometime High Sheriff of Lincs and Vice~Lord Lieutenant of the county.

He was born 1 Sept, 1926, son of Capt Lionel Marmion Dymoke (1894-1963), by his wife the former Rachel Isabel Lindley, scion of the extinct Barons Lindley.

He succeded to the Lordship of the manors of Scrivelsby, Thornton and Dalderby, &c, on his grandfather's death, 29 Aug 1946. The grandfather had attended the coronations of King Edward VII and King George V and King George VI as hereditary standard bearer and King's Champion, &c.

John Dymoke married 4 Sept, 1953, Susan Cicely Fane, scion of the Earls of Westmorland, by whom he had issue. His eld nson, Francis John Fane Marmion Dymoke, who was born 19 January, 1955, now succeeds as head of the family and holder of the ancient family honours.

_.  Kate Louise John {nee Wake-Walker, b 1982}, wife of Alexander T. John, and scion of the Walker baronets (Bt, cr 1866, of Oakley House), gave birth to a son, Henry (Harry) Richard Thomas, 11 March, 2015.

The couple married 11 May, 2013. Alexander T. John is the son of Mr & Mrs Trevor John, of Bath, and Kate, a kinswoman of the Duke of Cambridge  &  Prince Harry of Wales, via her descent from the Earls Spencer, is a daughter of Richard Anthony Wake-Walker (b 25 July, 1951), of London, by his wife the former Sharon Pamela Little.

Countess of Lanesborough dies aged 83

_. The Countess of Lanesborough, who died 5 March, 2015, aged 83, was the second wife, and widow of Denis Anthony Brfian Butler, 9th (and last) Earl of Lanesborough (1918-98) (Peerage of Ireland, cr 1756, ext 1998).

She was Patricia Julia Meston, daughter of F.W. Meston, MC. Her husband died 21 Dec, 1998.

_. Katherine Genevieve (Kate) Gordon-Watson (nee Reardon) (Tatler), wife of Charles Patrick Gordon-Watson (b 17 Dec, 1959), descended from the Gordons of Boveridge Park, gave birth to twins, Arthur Charles Edward & Katherine Thalia Peverley, 27 February, 2015.

Charles Gordon-Watson is a son of the late Brigadier David Michael Lindsay Gordon-Watson, OBE, MC (1913-2002), by his wife the former Thalia A.R. Gordon, of East Blagdon, Cranborne, Dorset & Kate Reardon (editor of Tatler), is the only daughter of Mr Patrick Reardon, of Montgomery, Wales, and Mrs Humphrey Wood, of Roborough, Devon, and Parsons Green, London.

Bloodstock agent Charlie Gordon-Watson is a first cousin of the Duchess of Beaufort, of Badminton, Avon.

The marriage took place 24 February, 2015, in St Vincent, between Jack Edward Kidd (b 1973), of Barbados, descended from the Barons Beaverbrook, son of John Edward Aitken Kidd, by his wife the former Wendy Madeline Hodge (b 1941), scion of the Hodge baronets (Bt, UK, cr 1921), & Miss Rosie B. Tyser.

Jack's grandmother, the Hon. Janet Aitken (dau of the 1st Baron Beaverbrook), was the wife, between 1927 and 1934, of Ian Douglas Campbell, later 11th Duke of Argyll. Before settling on Jack's grandfather, Maj. Thomas Kidd, Janet's second husband was the Hon. William Montagu, son of the 9th Earl of Sandwich.

Jack's sister is the Marchioness of Douro, wife of the Duke of Wellington's heir.

Rosamund Baroness Newborough 1918-2015

_. Rosamund Baroness Newborough, who died 17 February, 2015, aged 97, was the first wife of the 7th Baron Newborough, DSC  (1919-98)(Peerage of Ire, cr 1776).

She was the former Rosamund Lavington Barbour, born 17 Jan, 1918, scion of the landed family, of Bolesworth Castle, second daughter of Maj Robert Barbour (1876-1928), of Bolesworth Castle, Tattenhall, Chester, by his wife the former Ida Lavington Payne.

She married 1945 (div 1971), Robert Charles Michael Vaughan Wynn, who, during the war, had been a prisoner in Colditz Castle and escaped, & who, in 1965, succeeded as 7th Baron Newborough, and who died 11 Oct, 1998.

She leaves issue, a son, Robert, the 8th Baron (b 1949), and two daughters, (Anne) Patricia, and Diana.

A Celebration and Thanksgivinf for her life will be held at Al;l Saint's, Baschurch, Tues 7 Apr, 2015.

_. The Baron Mackie of Benshie, war hero, Liberal MP, life peer since 1974, who was born 10 July, 1919, died 17 February, 2015, aged 95.

Sir William Fettiplace Lawrence, OBE 5th Baronet 1954-2015

_. Sir William Fettiplace Lawrence, 5th Baronet (Bt, UK, cr 1867), died 10 February, 2015. He was 60.

He was born 23 Aug, 1954, son of Maj Sir William Lawrence, 4th Baronet (1913-86), by his wife the former Pamela Mary Gordon, and succeeded to the baronetcy on his father's demise, 1986. He married in Feb 2005, Tamara Bubashvili, of Tblisi, Georgia.

Appointed OBE (2003).

Succeeded by his kinsman, Aubrey Lyttelton Simon Lawrence, who was born 22 September, 1942 (?)

Princess Maria Gloria (Lolita) Pignatelli Aragona Cortez 1927-2015

Princess Maria Gloria {Lolita} Pignatelli Aragona Cortez (the Hon Mrs Mansel Child-Villiers), who died on Jersey, 9 February, 2015,aged 87, was the former wife of the late Squadron Leader the Hon Edward Mansel Child-Villiers (1913-80), a younger son of the 8th Earl of Jersey (1873-1923), by his wife the former Lady Cynthia Almina Constance Mary Needham, dau of the 3rd Earl of Kilmorey.

She was born in 1927, a daughter of Prince Antonio Pignatelli Aragona Cortez, Duke of Terranova, of Rome, by his wife the former Beatrice Molyneux, and married Mr Child-Villiers, as his second wife in 1946. They divorced in 1971. She leaves issue, a son (George Anthony) Robert, who was born in 1947, and daughters, Mary Ann (b 1951), and (Maria) Consuelo (;Lily), born in 1953.

Lady Gilmour (d 2015)

_. Lady Gilmour, who died 31 January, 2015, was the widow of Colonel Sir Allan Gilmour, KCVO, OBE, MC & Bar, Lord Lieutenant of the county of Sutherland, 1972-91, late the Queen's Own Highlanders (Seaforth & Camerons), who died in 2003.

She was the former Jean Wood, and married Allan Gilmour, of a Scots landed family, in 1941. She leaves three sons, David, Colin, Patrick, and a daughter, Susan.

Thanksgiving Service takes place at Rosehall Parish Church, Sutherland, Friday 27 Feb, 2015.

Wm Knight is the son of the Hon Priscilla DODSON (dau of 2nd Baron Monk Bretton and Ruth, dau of Hon Charles BRAND scion of the Viscounts Hampden) and Maj Claude Thorburn Knight, scion of the LG family THORBURN formerly of Craigerne.
