_.The 12th Baron Middleton, MC, DL, North Yorkshire landowner, died 27 May, 2011. He was 90.

Digby Godfrey Michael John Willoughby was born 1 May, 1921, son of the 11th peer, by his wife the former Angela Florence Alfreda Hall; succeeded to the barony (cr GB 1711/12) and baronetcy (cr 1677), on the demise of his father, 16 Nov 1970. He married, 14 Oct 1947, Janet Marshall-Cornwall, only surv. dau. of Gen Sir James Handyside Marshall-Cornwall KCB CBE DSO MC, of Cadogan Place, London, by his wife Marjorie Caralie Owen, 2nd dau. of William Scott Owen OBE, of Cefngwifed, Newtown, co. Montgomery, &c; by whom he had issue.

The peerage devolves upon his Lordship's son, the Hon Michael Charles James Willoughby, born 14 Jul 1948.

Caspar is the son of Mr Desmond Gilroy and Mrs Tara Williams, of London, and Georgina is the daughter of the Hon Sir (Alistair) Simon Orr-Ewing, 2nd Baronet (b. 10 June, 1940) and Lady Orr-Ewing, of Fifield, Oxfordshire.

The 8th Viscount Bolingbroke & St John 1957-2011

 The 8th Viscount Bolingbroke & St John, died 21 May, 2011. He was 54.

Henry FitzRoy St John was born in New Zealand, 18 May, 1957, the son and heir of the 7th Viscount Bolingbroke & St John (1927-2010), and his first wife the former Patricia Mary McKenna, daughter of B.J. McKenna, of Christchurch, New Zealand.

He succeeded his father, 5 July, 2010, as the 12th Baronet St. John, of Lidiard Tregoze, co. Wilts [E., 1611], and as the 8th Baron St. John of Lydiard Tregoze, co. Wilts [G.B., 1712], & as the 8th Viscount Bolingbroke, co. Lincoln [G.B., 1712], and as the 9th Viscount St. John, of Battersea, co. Surrey [G.B., 1716]. 

Viscount Bolingbroke is succeeded in the family honours by his younger half-brother, the Hon Nicholas Alexander Mowbray St John, who was born in New Zealand, 20 June, 1974.
