 Roger Henry Moat died 13 September, 2026. He was 93.

He was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in 1933, son of Henry Moat (1905-1958), and his wife the former Margaret Golightly (1905-1989); and married 1stly, in Wharfedale, 1958, Rhona Mary Cordingley (1937-1996), daughter of Samuel Cordingley and Ann Hainsworth; and married 2ndly, 17 April, 1999, as her second husband, Anthea Anthill (born 15 Oct, 1939), scion of the Earls of Shrewsbury, widow of Philip Simon Anthill (1930-1996), and daughter of Capt Edward Hugh Frederick Chetwynd-Talbot (1909-1998), and his wife the former Cynthia Phoebe Phillips (1912-2012).

From his first marriage he leaves a son, Henry (born 1961), and two daughters, Mary (born 1959), and Penelope (born 1970).
