The engagement was announced 12 September, 2026, between Daniel, son of Mr and Mrs Omar Urdaneta, of Philadelphia, USA, and the Lady Clare Patricia Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound (born 1991), the only daughter of the 7th Earl of Minto (born 1 December, 1953), of Minto, Roxburghshire, and the Countess of Minto (nee Diana Barbara Trafford).
