The engagement was announced 26 September, 2026, between George Frederic Kemp Trotter (born 1998), scion of that landed gentry family of Byers Green Hall, the only son of James William Dale Trotter (born 18 January, 1964), of Staindrop, County Durham, and his wife the former Nicola Mahaffy, and Tsering Yangzom Lock (born 1996), daughter of Ms Sarah Lock, of Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
