The engagement was announced 26 September, 2026, between Patrick William George (born 28 August, 1996), youngest son of Paul George (born 1960), of Herne Hil, London, and his wife the former Phillipa Jane Brown (born 1960), and Laura Edwina Batt (born 1997), eldest daughter of Robert Einar Windham Batt (born 1967), of that landed gentry family of Gresham Hall, of East Beckham, Norfolk, and his wife Rosabelle Patricia Brand (born 28 September, 1965), scionof the Viscounts Hampden.
