The engagement was announced 9 September, 2026, between Archie Alexander H. Farquharson (born 1996), youngers on of Donald Hugh Miller Farquharson of Finzean (born Dec 1963), of Aberdeenshire, head of that Scots landed gentry family, by his wife the former Catriona Rose, & Sarah Katherine Emslie-Smith (born 1997), only daughter of Dr Alistair Mark Emslie-Smith, of Broughty Ferry, Dundee, and his wife the former Katherine Mary Hector.
