The engagement was announced 26 September, 2026, between James Rupert Edward Scott Coles (born 1989), son of the late Bruce Gordon Scott Coles [1946-2021], of East Sussex, and his former wife the former Geraldine Anne Louise [Lulu] Carter (born 20 May, 1956) now Mrs Lulu Lorimer, of Docking, Norfolk, and Kimberley-Anne Maclean, daughter of Mr and Mrs Alan Maclean, of Gladstone, Queensland.
James Coles's mother is descended from the Cradock-Hartopp baronets.
