The Hon Gloria Theresa Valere, who died 16 June, 2026, aged 98, was a daughter of the life peer the Baron Constantine, MBE (1901-1971), and his wife the former Norma Agatha Cox (who died in 1971); and married 1954, André Valere (who died 1997), by whom she had a son, Maurice André Constantine Valere.
Her father, Learie Constantine, was the UK's first black peer.
