The Hon Margaret Ross van Koetsveld (née Geddes), died 3 April, 2026, aged 91.
She was a scion of the Barons Geddes, and a niece of the Hon Margaret Geddes (1913-1997), who married HRH Prince Ludwig of Hesse and the Rhine (1908-1968).
She was born 5 May, 1934, in San Francisco, daughter of the 2nd Baron Geddes, KBE (1907-1975), and his wife the former Enid Mary Butler (who died 28 January, 1999); and married 6 May, 1961, (Ralph Emilius) Quintus van Koetsveld, son of Johan Emilius van Koetsveld, of Rotterdam, by whom she had three sons, Michael (born 16 March, 1963), Antony (born 20 July, 1964), and Christopher (born 11 Feb, 1969).
Her husband died in November last year aged 96.
