Ernest John Eden, who died in Canada, 1 February, 2026, was a scion of the Barons Auckland.
He was born 28 May, 1943, the elder son of Edward Hildyard Eden (1898-1968), and his wife Annie Sylvester (who died in 1981), daughter of Ernest Sylvester, of Midnapore, Alberta, Canada.
He married in 1967, Allison Carolyne Wilde (1943-2019), by whom he had issue, a son, Buckley John (Buck) (born 1974), and a daughter Heide Anne Eden (born 1969), wife of Mark van Manen.
