Professor William Lawrence Twining, who died 9 October, 2025, aged 91, was a younger son of the life peer the Baron Twining (1899-1967), and his wife the former Helen Mary Du Buisson, OBE, CStJ (1896-1975); and married 1957, Penelope Elizabeth Morris, daughter of Richard Wall Morris, of Dublin, by whom he had issue, a son and a daughter.
