Camilla Joy Victoria de Chair, who died 31 August, 2025, was the wife of Rodney De Chair, scion of that landed gentry family.
She was born in 1938, the former Camilla Victoria Joy Thomas, younger daughter of Capt Harold George Bissell Thomas, of Cap Verde, Jersey; and married firstly, 6 June, 1959, Capt. Archibald Frederick Stewart Burdett Blackett (1933-1970), scion of that landed gentry family, son of Christopher William Stewart Burdett Blackett (1908-1985), and his wife the former Kathleen Charlotte Williams-Wynn (1910-1991), scion of the baronets of that name; and was widowed from her first husband, 20 Feb, 1970; she married 2ndly, 10 July, 2000, as his second wife, Rodney Somerset de Chair (born 1 July, 1935), son of Somerset Struben de Chair, DSC (1911-1995), and his 1st wife the former Thelma Grace Arbuthnot (1911-1974), scion of the Arbuthnot baronets. She leaves issue from her first marriage, a daughter Cynthia (born 11 June, 1960).
